Today, only the perimeter walls of this castle are left. Unfortunately it isn't yet possible to visit it despite the past years work.

Northern part of Cortina - Ospitale. This fortress which probably dates back to the year one thousand was sold by the Austrian government and bought by the Cortina County in 1783 and then unfortunately abandoned.

There are the ruins of the castle, with the chapel of the SS. Trinità by one of the perimeter towers in the village of Majon. At the end of the 1600's, Gianmaria de Zanna.

From the top of Mt. Rite it is possible to enjoy a wonderful panorama all the way around, which pays off with the effort which one puts in by reaching it. Up there one can also see the ruins of a fortress from the First World War that reminds us the terrible battles between the Italian and Austrian armies. Even if in reality it is not exactly what happened.
