Agordo
Agordo , with 4500 residents, lies in a broad and sunny valley 611 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Dolomites in the province of Belluno. It is about 140 Km from Venice and about 90 Km from Bolzano . It is surrounded by the majestic peaks of Agner, San Sebastiano, Tamer, Framont, Moiazza and Pale of San Lucano. It is an ideal place for the summer holidays and is also very convenient in the winter to reach in a short time the most equipped ski resort.

Alano di Piave
From Feltre to Alano (23 km) along the state road in the direction of Treviso. Just past the bridge of the Tegorzo Stream, make a right all the way to the old bridge: don't cross it, but keep on going straight up-hill towards the depression where you will find Alano.

Alleghe
In the northern edge of Veneto, in the narrow valley of Agordo, only a few kilometers south of Marmolada, there is the little town of Alleghe closed on its eastern side by the towering massif Civetta that divides it from Zoldo Alto, while on the western side it is bordered by the quiet waters of a lake. The first historical memory of Alleghe was brought to life by the bull of Pope Lucio III dated 1185, in which the territorial ownership of Bishop of Belluno, the chapel of Alleghe.

Arabba
Arabba (1612 m. alt) is found at the foot of the mountain chain Sella, and is surrounded by thick woods. You must pass through it if you wish to reach the passes of Pordoi and Campolongo. This explains the origin of the Ladin name Rèba, which means a fork prong, because in Arabba the street splits toward the two passes. Accessible by A27 highway exit Mestre Belluno and then you must follow the indications for Agordino. Pass through Agordo and Alleghe until reaching Arabba. From the A22 Brennero Modena , exit Ora then follow indications for Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa and Passo Pordoi.

Arsié
It is a very important city because it lies on the old commercial and military route. It is on the border between the Feltre area and the Valsugana area. This town allows the passage to the Veneto Plain going south, and with the Trentino and the Tirolo region heading north.

Auronzo di Cadore end Misurina
Auronzo di Cadore (850m alt.) with the 'Pearl of the Dolomite' represents one of the most interesting tourist destinations to spend a summer or winter holiday. These two towns are crowned by the three Cime di Lavaredo reachable in many ways according to the season. During the winter season it runs a snowmobile service that allows you to directly reach the outposts Auronzo from where it is then possible to descend by sled. During the summer season the outpost is reachable by every method. Besides the three majestic Cime di Lavaredo it is possible to walk on many different paths which pass through the splendid Dolomites such as the Cardini group, Sorapiss, Paterno group, or the Marmolade. If you prefer a more tranquil walk it is possible to walk along the river or lie nicely in the sun of the beach at Bucintoro. In the summer season , guided excursions through the forest of Soimadida.is possible. In the winter this area belong to the Dolomite SuperSki, and offers more than 22 Km of ski runs, 8 areas for cross-country skiing for a total of 63 km. There are also many other infrastructures such as sled dog areas, ice rinks, and sledding areas.

Belluno
Belluno (a name of Celtic origin that means "splendid, illuminated city") rises over a promontory located near the confluence of the Ardo River to the Piave River. It stands in a beautiful frame made of the Dolomites on the north side and the Venete Pre Alps in the south side. A city that offers artistic and natural beauties and can be appreciated by everybody.

Borca di Cadore
Borca di Cadore (942 m alt.) lies among the massif of the Dolomites Pelmo and Antelao, where the valley of the Boite spreads in broad fir woods. To the right of the river, which has the same name, and to the left of the road Alemagna, there lies the happy village of Villanova.

Calalzo di Cadore
Situated in the center of Cadore in a happy position, on top of a morenic terrace, on the Centro Cadore lake and at the entrance of the green valleys of Oten and Molinà. At the back of the town there is the impressive mountain group of Marmarole, and at the end of Oten valley there is Antelao the king of the Dolomites.

Canale d'Agordo
Canale d'Agordo rises in the merge confluence of the rivers Liera and Biois, and is one of the most ancient communities in Agordino, it is also the town that gave birth to Albino Luciani, first patriarch of Venice and who in 1978 became Pope John Paul I.

Castellavazzo
This used to be the ancient Castrum Laebatii of the Romans and of this name there is still a stone with an inscription dedicated to the roman Emperor Nero now held in the city hall entrance.

Cencenighe Agordino
Cencenighe is decisively an important center in the Agordino area, it is here in fact that the connection of all the roads from Biois valley and Cordevole valley and guarantees the ability to travel from these valleys towards the Agordo and lower level provinces.

Cesiomaggiore
On top of the historical center of Feltre a provincial road that coasts the mountain begins and heads north. Follow this road and pass the towns of Foen and Villabruna and as soon as you pass the bridge over the Caorame Stream, you will finally reach the county of Cesiomaggiore.

Chies d'Alpago
Dominated on the northern side by a long ridge of hard peaks, as the Teverone (2347 m.) and Cavallo Mountains (2251 m.), which determines the borderline with the Friuli Region, the county of Chies is mostly occupied by a dense wood vegetation sectioned by little valley and sideways gorges.

Cibiana di Cadore
It is on the oregraphy right of the Boite stream ( 985 alt), in a valley covered by woods. Just above, at 1536 m., there is Forcella Cibiana which operates as a watershed with Zoldana valley.

Colle Santa Lucia
Attached to one of the most wonderfully panoramic positions at the foot of Monte Pore from the tip of the hill it dominates all of the Fiorentina valley with the backdrop of the impressive massif of Monte Pelmo. Colle Santa Lucia was one of the last cities to become an Italian city from the Austria-Hungarian empire. The GIAU pass, a large grassy path dominated by "Gusela" del Nuvolau, offers in the summer many excursions and during the winter is the ideal place for skiing.

Comelico Superiore
It is renown for its natural and untouched beauty close by Valgrande. Here many beautiful Dolomite peaks rise, the forests are rich with valuable wooded areas, there are two sulfur and iron water springs used in thermal treatments (a center is now under construction).

Cortina d'Ampezzo
The Queen of the Dolomites, the mountain center of Italy: Cortina d'Ampezzo, the geographic and tourist heart of the Dolomites and Venetian mountains. The location of the winter Olympics in 956, and is crowned by the beautiful peaks of Tofane and Cristallo. The climate is wonderful and moderate thanks to the shape of its valley that is protected from the Northern winds. It is a world renown tourist place both in the summer and winter. Cortina d'Ampezzo offer to its Italian and foreign visitors a unique welcome treatment that is known throughout the world.

Danta di Cadore Comelico Inferiore
Danta is a village composed of white houses with a bell tower and church dating back to the year 300. It is a refuge for peace and solitude lost in the clear blue skies and far from any noisy loud style of life.

Domegge di Cadore
Domegge (from the Latin Duomilia, which means two miles from the Roman mansion of Làgole) and lies on the bank of the lake Centro Cadore beyond many paths which radiate and take you to the refuges at the base of the most majestic mountains such as Montanel and Spalti di Toro. Vallesella and Grea, two small towns, belong in the same county .

Falcade
Falcade, situated in the heart of Agordino, the river Biois which give the name of the valley it runs through runs through this little town, topped by the mountains Tre Cime of Focobon and by Cime d'Auta. With many tiny villages full of country homes that surround it, Falcade is the ideal center for those who love untouched nature.

Farra d'Alpago
Entering into the Alpago through the Treviso territory through Fadalto, the first county that we encounter is Farra. Farra is of longobardian origin and the center of the county is "projected" toward the government forest of Cansiglio.

Feltre
Feltre has it roots in a mythical and glorious past. It used to be a retic center during the years that proceeded our era. It became a Roman city hall during the first half of the first century BC.

Fonzaso
It lies on a side of the valley under the towering Mt. Avena (1454 m) and the further away Grappa Mountain (1775 m). Fonzaso is an important crossroad in the western area in the valley of Piave and allows the transit and access to the Valsugana and to the Primiero (TN).

Forno di Zoldo
Just past the channel of the river Maè and the artificial dam that this river creates, a little further you can find Forno di Zoldo. It is located at 848 above sea level and has a beautiful center with excellent tourist and commercial opportunities.

Gosaldo
Gosaldo lies at the foot of the majestic Croda Granda, the mountain symbol of this town. In this county there are many little villages spread throughout a large area which used to be very populated before the great flood of 1966. The are many beautiful walks and excursions that one can take on the chain of the Pale di San Martino. Also interesting is Mis valley up until the homonymous lake to discover untouched nature. That is why a part of this county belongs to the Dolomite Bellunesi national park. In Forcella Aurine there are two ski lifts and also an artificial snow ski area to allow skiing throughout the winter.

La Valle Agordina
La Valle is located in the green mountains of Framont, Moiazza and Celo. It is closed on the northern side by the San Sebastiano mountain chain. It is a community comprised of many little villages throughout the valley, with 1000 inhabitants at 800 m above sea level. It is an ideal place for low altitude walks on the paths which connect all the small villages. It also runs through the Alta Via n. 1 in its wildest and silent areas. A few kilometers away from the center of the town there is the Duran pass, a very beautiful mountain pass which connects the Agordino to the Valzoldana, fields and open areas which in the summer becomes an oasis of peace and tranquility: from this pass there are easy paths to get to Moiazza and San Sebastiano.

Lamon
It is possible to reach Lamon by the state road of the Rolle Pass, which connects Feltre to Primiero (TN), and from which is starts at the height of Ponte Serra, the provincial road that heads toward Tesino (TN). As soon as you pass the Serra Gorge, make a left climbing the right side of the Cismon narrow valley.

Lentiai
Lentiai became the real administrative and legislative center of all of this area, which spreads into the Cesana county, in 1866. This town soon became an important and vital center.

Limana
There are many studies that have been done on the origin of the name Limana, but on the historical point-of-view the majority of scholars agree that this name derives from the Latin "Limen-Limitis," which means separating border line.

Pieve di Livinallongo
Pieve di Livinallongo (1475 m), this characteristic and colorful town is visible from far away thanks to its tall and pointy bell tower, that emerges from the green of the woods. The houses are next to one another, attached on the western side of Col di Lana mountain, and hollowed out by the Ru de Gliejia river, in a sunny and panoramic position.

Longarone
It lies at the confluence in the Piave River of the streams to Maè and Vajont, sadly known for the catastrophe of October 9, 1963. Since that date, the village has been completely rebuilt right in front of the town where the old town used to be.

Lorenzago di Cadore
It lies on a green plateau from where it is possible to look at Centro Cadore lake and the convergence of the Mauria valley into Piave. It is surrounded by the mountains Cridola (2510 m) and Tudaio (2273 m) It also represents an entrance from Veneto to Friuli because it is very close to the Mauria pass.

Lozzo di cadore
This town is a closed up little hollow on the right of Piave river and it is topped by the Pian dei Buoi plateau (1800 m high) at the foot of the Marmarole mountains.

Mel
One of the most significant historical centers in the province of Belluno, Mel presents a very important and rich history. From the Paleo-Venetian to the Gaelic period, testified by some land toponyms such as Canzago and Tiago.

Ospitale di Cadore
Ospitale di Cadore was born around the year one thousand. Its name comes from an old hospice for travelers. There are still some of the ruins of this ancient gothic mansion. Along the river Piave , during the 1400's a lot of saw-mills rose. In this county there are the villages Termine, Davestra and Rivalgo.

Pedavena
Tourist Center 3 km north of Feltre. Its history is not different from Feltre's. For centuries, thanks to its position at the bottom of the mountains, this town was descended for the collection and the working of the wood.

Perarolo di Cadore
Perarolo di Cadore (532 m) was created around the end of the '300 and the beginning of the '400 when the wood trade required a large river port. The confluence of the rivers Piave and Boite was the perfect place. This characteristic represented the main source of wealth for this town up until the beginning of the '900. Here many of the richest Italian families flourished, such as the Zuliani's and the Lazzaris', who had as their guest in 1881 and 1882 Margherita -The Queen of Italy.

Pieve d'Alpago
The town lies a little north of Puos, the county of Pieve d'Alpago rises at the foot of Mt. Dolada (1938 m.). It was inhabited since the ancient times, as proven by the many archeological finding dated back to the Paleo-Venetian age found in Quers and in Plois.

Pieve di Cadore
Pieve di Cadore (878 m) is the historical, geographical and cultural center of the Cadore. It lies between the Contràs and Montericco hills, at the confluence of the Boite and Piave rivers. It is a community with over 4100 residents, that spreads on one side up to the foot of Antelao mountain, and on the other side until Cima Laste, including the towns of Nebbiù, Pozzale, Tai, Sottocastello.

Ponte nelle Alpi
The origin of the first urban settlements in the modern territory of Ponte nelle Alpi, can be traced back to the Roman era. As a testimony, many tombs were found with little rooms that contained metal vases, clay vases with burnt bones inside and the inscription found in the area of Polpet.

Puos d'Alpago
Puos is the crossroads and the commercial center of the Alpago area, and according to its toponym should date back to the Roman era (Puteus, well).

Rivamonte Agordino
Rivamonte is a small town on the slopes of the Armarolo mountain, and it dominates the Agordina valley. This town belongs to the Dolomite Bellunesi National Park and therefore it offers many types of excursions in an untouched environment so to appreciate many protected species of animals and plants. It is also interesting to visit the mining site in the Imperina valley , whose building are now being remodeled thanks to contributions by the European Community. The old storage is now being transformed into a youth hostel and the remaining buildings will be employed in the construction of a Industrial Archeological Museum and an cultural activity center.

Rocca Pietore
Rocca Pietore has the particular characteristic in its size. It is much larger than all the other counties of the Agordino: it's area covers 75 sq. Km. In this county there are many villages: Malga Ciapela, Sottoguda, Bosco Verde, Col di Rocca, Sorarù, Pezzè, Saviner di Laste, Sopracordevole, Digonera, Laste, Moè, Davare, Ronch, Caracoi Cimai and Caracoi Agoin, Santa Maria delle Grazie, Masarè di Rocca, Bramezza. It is famous for the natural wonders of this area such as the Marmolada mountain (The Queen of the Dolomite) and the Serrai di Sottoguda gorge.

From Feltre to Quero (16 km) along the Feltre state road in the direction of Treviso; just after the train stop in Quero-Vas, make a right and climb to Quero whose town rises over the Mount Cornelia (630 m), a southern descendant of Mt. Tomatico (1594 m).

S.Gregorio nelle Alpi
From Feltre to San Gregorio nelle Alpi (19 km) along the state road in the direction of Belluno; once you reach Santa Giustina make a left climbing all of the hills at the bottom of Mt. Pizzocco (2186 m).

Sappada / Plodn
Between the Cadore, Carnia and Austria, Sappada lies at 1250 m altitude, in the Northern tip of the Belluno province, in the high valley of the Piave river.

Sedico
The first human settlement in the county of Sedico should be dated back to the Bronze Age. A Fortress over the Noal Hill in Mirabei leads us to believe its ancient origins.

Selva di Cadore
It is a tourist town in the Fiorentina valley, which lies in the center of the western Dolomite between the Civetta and Pelmo mountains. Even if it belonged to the Cadore area for many years, it is now included in the Agordino area. This county has a wonderful scenery of woods, fir-trees, larches and old villages lost in the greenery. This is the reason why Selva is one of the most privileged places for excursionists during the summer season and skiers during the winter season. There are ski areas of every level of difficulty and a new four-seated chair lift connecting Pescul to the skiing grounds of Civetta.

Seren del Grappa
From Feltre, you can reach Seren del Grappa (6 km) following the "Montegge" Road which runs on the left shore of the Stizzon Stream and it borders the last descendants of Mt. Tomatico (1594 m) and Mt. Santo (1538 m), all the way to the southwestern margin of the Feltre Plains.

Sospirolo
Sospirolo has a very ancient origin. Traces of objects from the Bronze Age have been found in Val Falcina. The presence of Romans is also very well documented.

Soverzene
It is a little village between the mountain and the Piave River, where there is one of the most important hydro-electrical complexes in Italy carved into the rocks.

Taibon Agordino
Taibon lies on the orographical right of the Cordevole stream, at the entrance of the S. Lucano valley also surrounded by the walls of Agner and Pale di S. Lucano mountains. Many excursionists visit this area thanks to its beautiful natural scenarios and also because it connects to the Corpassa valley which takes is in the majestic group of mountains Civetta.

Tambre
Tambre, historically, owns its fortune to the tight connection with its community and the splendid Cansiglio Forest. This forest is divided amongst the provinces of Belluno, Treviso and Pordenone, and it represents one of the most environmental resources of the entire region.

Trichiana
The origin of Trichiana and all of its territory is very ancient and dates back to the fifth and sixth century after Christ. We would also like to point out that there are Neolithic findings of Nareon (10000- 5000 BC) as a proof of a primitive human settlement.

Valle di Cadore
The town of Valle di Cadore (780 m) has been for many centuries the commercial center of the Cadore area. It stretches on green large fields, next to the river Boite and it is surrounded in the north by the Antelao mountain and in the South by the Duranno mountain chain.

Vas
From Feltre to Vas (15 km) while on the state road in the direction of Treviso, make a right from the train station of Quero and cross the bridge over Piave River located over the town of Vas.

Vigo di Cadore
This town can be found among beautiful fir and larch woods and is surrounded by the mountain groups such as the Tudaio, Schiavon, Brentoni and Tudai di Razzo. Together with the villages of Laggio, Pelos and Piniè, this town lies in a dominating and panoramic position over the Piave valley. From Vigo, it starts with the impressive Val Piova which ends at 1745 m. altitude at the plateau of Casera Razzo.

Vodo di Cadore
The community of Vodo di Cadore (901 m ) stretches from Chiusa up until the border of the Borca territory. The Boite stream runs through it. It is in a barycentric position in the Boite valley, and includes two tiny villages : Peaio and Vinigo. The first is just a little group of houses on the state road. The second hangs on the edge of a wooded peak.

Voltago Agordino
Voltago and the village of Frassenè are in a panoramic position right under the Agner mountain also call" The rocky giant" for its size. Here there are many chances for resting or having fun. It is also possible to take nice walks or to climb with a guide on Agner and on the Croda Grande, enjoying beautiful views of these splendid Dolomite mountains. In the summer a comfortable two-seated chair lift can bring you from Frassenè to the refuge Scarpa, the starting place for many kinds of excursions.

Zoldo Alto
The community of Zoldo Alto lies in the valley which goes to Forcella Staulanza between the Pelmo and the Civetta mountain. The environment in this area is very impressive and therefore is visited both in the summer and the winter.

Zoppè di Cadore
It belongs to the geographic area of zoldano but at the same time its Cadore roots are very strong. In fact, legend says that the Cadore people from Gogna escaped and hid from the Huns atrocities. They came in this area and built the castle of Fiès.
