Accessibility Canale d'Agordo can be reached from two directions from the east: by highway A27 Mestre-Belluno - exit Cadola - then take SS 203 Agordina up until Cencenighe- then take SS 346 Passo di San Pellegrino; From the west: by highway A22 Brennero - exit Ora - then take SS 48 to Moena - then take SS 346 to Passo di San Pellegrino or as an alternative SS 48 to Predazzo then provincial road Passo di Valles. It is about km 150 from Venice and km 80 from Bolzano. The closest train station is in Belluno (50 km).

Historical information The are many ancient fountains and dozens of wonderful villas which surround the center and suburbs of this town keeping the old appeal of a mountain community. Many roads, mule tracks and footpaths, offer the visitors beautiful easy and difficult excursions which allow the chance to enjoy the impressive untouched surrounding nature. The splendid Gares valley, adjacent to Canale d'Agordo, runs for approximately 7 km. among the fields and woods and offers the chance to see a beautiful waterfall that can be reached by foot following the footpaths which starts at the refuge Cima Comelle. During the winter season it is possible to do cross-country skiing on an approved track. Canale d'Agordo is an old beautiful village which still carries the signs of its history: - the main square is embellished by a fountain created following a project by Segusini and the church (date 300's) dedicated to John the Baptist; - the old village area of Tancon with the Casa delle Regole (house of rules), an old building dated 1640; - the first social milk factory founded in 1870 by the Don Antonio Della Lucia parish; - many murals inspired by the history and culture of the Dolomites (painted by the artist Giuliano De Rocco) decorate the facade of many homes in this village.
