Accessibility Falcade can be reached from two directions. Historical information In the summer a tight web of paths allows excursions of every level in a wonderful environment with many refuges and outposts in many high level. The name Falcade is derived from the meaning "place where people "sfalcia" (cut with sickle) because here as in other towns within Agordino, before the tourist development the only means of survival was agriculture and farming or as an alternative people emigrated to other areas for work. Before Italy entered the First World War, Falcade was on the border, just over the mountain passes of Valles and San Pellegrino, which communicates with the valleys of Fiemme and Fassa.
