Historical information One of the main attractions of Forno will be the nail museum, that is now being prepared at the old Capitanato building, in connection with a sort of "Village of traditional handcrafters of Zoldo", that will be created on the bank of the tiny creek Gaf. The art and the "zoldano" constitute a very strong combination that exposes very special artists such as wood scupturers. Many are the protagonists of this very difficult artform, which please everyone both locally and abroad. We would like to also remember Andrea Brustolon (1622-1732), Paolo Gamba Zampol (1723-...) and Valentino Pancora Besarel (1829-1902), who have created many pieces of artwork which are on display in the San Floriano church, in Pieve di Zoldo. This church is the religious heart of Zoldo. It was rebuilt and consecrated 1487. The connection between this area and wood sculpture is destined to last throughout time. On the footsteps of Brustolon, Besarel and Zampol even in this century there have been many wonderful artists who have strengthened this great local tradition. Mariano Lazzarin and Bruno De Pellegrin are good and appreciated contemporary examples.

All of this in additional to the countries located overseas. It is a very difficult job to be an ice cream maker but has been successful immediately because of the ice cream which is homemade. It became the most famous item in respect to the other items offered in the European markets. from the initial sellers of cooked pears and apples, of sweets or baked chestnuts, to ice cream, this is a tradition still alive in this area.
