Brevetto del Grappa: the 10 climbs to do at least once in your life

The “Brevetto del Grappa” is a certificate given to the cyclists which ride in one year the 10 most challenging climbs to reach Mount Grappa using the road bike. According to the number of ascents certified, you will be entitled to the “Brevetto del Grappa”: Gold with all (10) climbs certified, Silver with at least six climbs certified and Bronze with at least three climbs certified.

The climbs will be certified by a special stamp that will be affixed on your annual book by the operators of public places at the start of each climb and at the “Rifugio Cima Grappa” upon arrival. For further information on the initiative, visit the website www.energiapura.info .

There are four itineraries that start from the Feltre area: from Alano di Piave, from the Valley of Seren, from Caupo and from the territory of Arsiè.

These are the 10 climbs (the last 4 are in the province of Belluno):

 

Participants will be awarded during a dinner organized each year in October, during which the book will be verified and validated.

From 2014 the eleventh climb was added and was dedicated to mountain bike lovers. You will start from the “Ristorante Al Covolo” in Crespano del Grappa riding along a dirt road that follows the path no. 105 for about 10 km with sopes ranging from 11% to 20% of gradient. The difference in height of this itinerary dating back to the First World War, is of 1,150 m and you will reach Cima Grappa crossing the villages of Casera Ardosetta and Casera Ardosa.

  • Semonzo di Borso del Grappa / Cima Grappa – along the “Generale Giardino” road (20 km);

  • Possagno / Bocca di Forca / Cima Grappa – along the strada degli Alpini (22 km);
  • Cavaso del Tomba / mount Tomba / Archeson / Cima Grappa – along the road of mount Tomba (23 km);
  • Pederobba / mount Tomba / Cima Grappa – along the Monfenera road (25 km);
  • Alano di Piave / mount Tomba / Cima Grappa - along the Grappa road (22 km);
  • Seren del Grappa / Chiesa Nuova - San Luigi / Forcelletto / Cima Grappa - along the road of the Valley of Seren (23 km);
  • Seren del Grappa / Prassolan / Cima Grappa - along the road that from Caupo goes up to the northern ridge of mount Grappa (28 km);
  • Cismon del Grappa / Col dei Prai / Forcelletto / Cima Grappa - along the forestry road (26 km).
