The Civetta ski area, with 72 km of slopes, is the largest ski area in the Veneto region and, thanks to its location, is quick and easy to reach. It is considered the exclusive gateway to the Dolomiti Superski circuit, where you will find more than 1200 kilometres of runs in the largest ski carousel in the world. This area, lying on the slopes of two giants - Mount Pelmo and Mount Civetta - was already well-known in the days of the Doges of Venice; the skilled artisans who lived here were just as famous as its beautiful untouched scenery and the timeless charm that captivated visitors to the area. Not even the most demanding lovers of the mountains could ask for more: small romantic villages nestling in unspoiled scenery surrounded by some of the most beautiful peaks in the Dolomites, like Pelmo, Civetta and the queen of the Dolomites, her Majesty the Marmolada.

The Civetta ski area has preserved the elegance and beauty of these places, connecting the resorts of Alleghe, Selva di Cadore and Val di Zoldo thanks to an extensive network of perfectly groomed slopes, offering stunning scenery and warm, welcoming refuges where you can stop for a rest. Today Civetta is a modern ski district with 22 state-of-the-art ski lifts and an artificial snowmaking system that covers 98% of the slopes. After more than thirty years of innovation, this unique ski area has become a cutting-edge, high-tech location that still preserves the magic and authenticity which the early visitors from the Venetian Republic found so appealing. Despite being surrounded by high mountains, Alleghe is relatively low in altitude, one of the lowest in the Dolomites in fact.

The slopes, which are mainly intended for intermediate-level skiers, lie below the 2100 m of Col Fioret and are mostly below the tree line which provides shelter when the weather is bad. Skiers can tackle the entire difference in height of the whole ski district in one go with Gran Zuita, a 7-km long run which starts from Col Fioret and takes you down to Alleghe, a total of 1100 metres difference in altitude. The Civetta ski area offers everything you need to make your Dolomite holiday truly memorable and the sun, snow and our expert maintenance staff will transform the slopes into a soft carpet stretching out in front of you every day of the season that goes from the end of November to the beginning of April.
