The dairy cooperative in Livinallongo
Arabba, panorama invernale (archivio Arabba Fodom Turismo)

The dairy cooperative in Livinallongo is run by farmers committed to maintaining the traditions of the land. It independently produces cheese and dairy products using a safe, certified process. The cheeses are named after the local villages - Renaz, Cherz and Contrin – and one after the valley in Ladin: Fodom. The rarest, most exclusive cheese is Zigher, with only 250 pieces produced every month.

“A “Gem in the Dolomites, lovely and peaceful, with everything you need for a great holiday. In summer and winter”. Or: “The place is completely immersed in nature. It’s hard to believe there are still places like this. It’s like living in a fairy tale. Fantastic”. And then: “The locals are fantastic, the lifestyle’s good, the skiing’s good and the food’s good!”. If you believe the best publicity for a place is the opinion of those who have already been there, just browse the online reviews and you will see that Arabba isn’t just a pretty resort but a real corner of paradise. It is located in the municipality of Livinallongo del Col di Lana (BL) in the Fodom Valley, one of the five valleys that make up the remote area of Ladinia. Arabba, “Rèba” in the local Ladin language, lies at the foot of the Sella massif, at an altitude of 1602 metres, between the Pordoi Pass and the Campolongo Pass.
